Two ways to sail the Algarve
Vilamoura is the main departure point, with a marina set up for boats of every size. Albufeira works well for day trips, with coastal cruising, swim stops and lunch on board or ashore.
Further east, Faro opens onto the Ria Formosa and the barrier islands. The route depends on the tides, the draft and local knowledge. Over a week, the plan can take in several stops, always subject to the wind and the state of the sea.
